Taekwang Industrial is one of the world’s largest producers of sodium cyanide (NaCN), producing 65,000 metric tons annually at our Ulsan plant in South Korea. Although Sodium Cyanide is an extremely toxic petrochemical product and it is holding a tight rein on import and export. The production and export of such is internationally regulated and monitored by the International Cyanide Management code to ensure high environmental safety and standards. Taekwang produce sodium cyanide, which is principally applied in the extraction and electroplating of gold and silver as raw materials for agricultural chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Our customers conduct mining operations in many global markets especially in Africa, South America, China, and Russia. We are now ensuring the continuing competitiveness of our core mining businesses through the extension of our Ulsan plant. In addition, our continued growth over the past half-century has resulted from our industry-leading experience and expertise, attainable goal setting, and service-oriented management.
